1. Nature of Auction Sales

  • Facilitation: BidZid facilitates auctions between independent sellers (Vendors) and buyers.
  • Binding Contract: Due to the nature of competitive bidding, all winning bids are considered a binding contract.
  • Obligation to Purchase: By placing a bid, you agree that if you win, you are obligated to complete the purchase.

2. The BidZid Guarantee

  • Confidence: Most purchases are covered by our guarantee to ensure you receive the item ordered or your money back.
  • Coverage: You are protected if an item does not arrive, arrives damaged, or does not match the listing description.
  • Auction Finality: “Buyer’s Remorse” (changing your mind) is not an automatic ground for a return unless the specific Seller’s policy allows it.

3. Mandatory “Unboxing Video” Requirement

  • Fraud Prevention: To prevent “Swap-and-Return” scams, buyers are required to record a continuous, unedited video of the unboxing process.
  • Video Criteria: The video must clearly show the shipping label, the sealed box, and the initial inspection of the item.
  • Primary Evidence: In the event of a dispute, BidZid will request this video as primary evidence.
  • Consequence: Failure to provide a clear unboxing video may result in the denial of a refund request.

4. Refund Eligibility & Condition

  • General Eligibility: Refunds are issued if the item was not delivered, arrived damaged, is non-functional, or was proven counterfeit/misrepresented.
  • Inspection Period: For “Buy It Now” or high-value items, buyers have 14 days from receipt to report major undisclosed discrepancies.
  • Item Condition: Returned items must be in the exact same condition as received.
  • Deduction Rule: If an item is returned used, damaged, or missing parts, the Seller may (with approval) deduct up to 50% from the refund to cover loss in value.
  • Authentication: If a return is found to be a different item or a counterfeit swap, the refund is denied and the Buyer’s account will be permanently banned.

5. Right of Cancellation/ Withdrawal of Bid

  • Before Auction End: Bid retractions are only allowed for exceptional circumstances (e.g., clear typographical errors) and must be reported at least 12 hours before the auction closes.
  • After Auction End: Withdrawal from a winning bid is strictly prohibited.
  • Non-Payment: Failure to pay is a breach of policy leading to account suspension, “Blacklist” status, and forfeiture of bidding deposits.

6. Return Process & Shipping

  • Notification: Buyers must notify the Seller via the “Contact Seller” button within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Escalation: If the seller does not respond within 3 business days, escalate to BidZid Support.
  • Shipping Costs: The Seller pays for return shipping on faulty/misrepresented items. The Buyer pays for return shipping for “Remorse Returns” (if accepted by the seller).
